Management reporting software and financial board packs for groups
Management reporting software turns the group accounts into what the board reads: dashboards, your own statement layouts and a monthly financial board pack. In Finconsol you build them without code, mix statistics with financial lines, and issue a pack that Finconsol locks, so the numbers cannot move.
Build your own dashboard
Pick the figures and charts you want. Each one is a card you can place anywhere.
A dashboard for September 2026 with three tiles: revenue 5,956 thousand dollars, net profit 1,016, and revenue per employee 18,968 dollars. Below them are a revenue trend from April to September, revenue by company before group adjustments, and a profit bridge from the budget of 900 to the actual of 1,016.
Revenue trend
April to September 2026, USD thousands
Revenue by company
Before group adjustments, USD 6,376 thousand in total
- Inc.36.2%
- Technologies28.9%
- UK15.2%
- FZ-LLC11.7%
- Pte.8.0%
Profit bridge
Net profit, budget to actual, USD thousands
The numbers are right. The pack takes a week.
Once the group accounts are final, the work is not over. The board wants a pack: the KPIs, the trend, budget against actual, a view by company, and a paragraph of commentary. Someone builds it in a spreadsheet and a slide deck.
Then a late adjustment arrives, and the deck and the accounts no longer agree.
- The same layout, rebuilt monthly. Charts and tables are pasted from last month's file.
- Ratios kept apart. Revenue per employee needs headcount, which lives somewhere else.
- Numbers that move. The pack is correct until someone changes a source file.
- Wrong figures look right. A ratio with a missing input still shows a number.
How groups do it today
A pack is usually assembled by hand from exports. A dashboard tool can show charts, but it rarely knows which month is locked or what changed.
| Spreadsheet and slides | Dashboard tool | Finconsol | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Source of the numbers | Exports pasted in | A separate copy of the data | The group accounts themselves |
| Own statement layouts | Rebuilt each month | Charts, not statements | Statement layouts with statistic and formula rows |
| A figure with no input | Shows a number anyway | Shows a number or zero | Says it cannot be worked out |
| After the board has read it | Can change | Can change | Locked, so the numbers cannot move |
How Finconsol handles management reporting
The dashboard builder
Name a dashboard and add cards: KPI tiles, trends, pies and donuts, stacked columns by company, bridges (profit bridge, cash bridge, your own steps, Pareto), tables and mini statements. Page filters set the period and the scope, and a card can be pinned to its own period or scope.
Formulas are built by clicking, and can mix financial lines with statistics. Each card says its period and scope. A figure that cannot be worked out says so in words.
The report builder
Design your own profit and loss, balance sheet or cash flow, with statistic rows and formula rows between the financial lines, then publish it for everyone.
Board packs
A pack is built from the board summary: KPIs, budget against actual, growth at constant currency, ratios and commentary, with a cover. Once the board has read it, the pack is locked, so the numbers cannot move.
Industry packs
Each industry pack is a starting point: statistic lines, dashboards and two draft report layouts, for manufacturing, services, retail, SaaS or hospitality. You can change or remove any of it.
The pack has to be a financial pack. A board portal moves meeting papers around, which is a different job. This page is about the numbers in them: a monthly management pack drawn from the same group accounts that were consolidated and locked.
The trend, the bridge and the table on a card all come from the group accounts, the same ones the board summary and the statements use.
Built, refreshed, locked
A board pack of four pages: a cover for the Zenvara Group board pack, September 2026; a summary with revenue of 5,956 and net profit of 1,016 in thousands of dollars; budget against actual with revenue 4.5% ahead, costs 2.9% behind and net profit 12.9% ahead; and commentary. Below it, three steps: built, refreshed with the month, then locked so the numbers cannot move after the board has read them.
- Built
- Refreshed with the month
- Locked: the numbers cannot move after the board has read them
Try it: switch the period, then open the manual journal entries in the month.

- A locked pack cannot be changed, so lock it once the numbers are final and before the board date.
- Industry packs are starting points. They add statistic lines and layouts, but they do not decide your KPIs for you.
- What is on screen exports to Excel and PDF, and prints.
